One setting changes every feed on the site. The free plugin draws grid, masonry, list, square and original; these four are Pro.
One item at a time, with the stories bar above it. Stories expire, and the uploader sees who viewed them.

Before you buy
What Pro does not do
Read this first. We would rather lose the sale than have you find these out afterwards.
- It does not transcode or re-encode video
- The player uses the file the member uploaded. There is no ffmpeg in either plugin, which is deliberate: shared hosts usually forbid it. A poster frame comes from the file’s own cover art.
- It does not sell media
- Nothing in Free or Pro charges a visitor for access to a photo or video, and there is no checkout.
- Captions are generated, not displayed
- Whisper writes a caption file and stores it, and the REST payload carries the URL. Nothing renders it in the web player yet, so today it is for an app or a custom template.
- Chapters and resume are API-only
- Both store and return data over REST. The web player neither shows chapters nor restores a playback position; a native app can do both.
- Private media stays on your disk
- Only public media is eligible for the cloud, and private delivery is proxied through your site rather than signed from the bucket.
- Push has two registries
- Free registers devices and fires a hook for your own backend. Pro talks to Expo directly. Register an app with one of them, not both, or every notification arrives twice.
- A lapsed licence stops document writes only
- Updates stop, and members cannot write to the document drive. Every other Pro feature keeps running, nothing already uploaded is touched, and an administrator can still write.

Do I need the free plugin?
Yes. Pro requires MediaVerse free at the same version. The two ship together, so install both updates at the same time.
Will my media, albums and settings stay when I add Pro?
Yes. Pro builds on the free plugin's tables and settings. Your uploads, albums, privacy choices and members stay as they are.
Which license tier do I need?
Pick by site count. Personal covers 1 site, Professional 5 and Agency unlimited. Every tier includes every Pro feature.
What happens if my license lapses?
Pro keeps working and your enabled features keep running. Updates and support stop until you renew. One exception: members cannot upload or edit files in their document drive until you renew. Administrators still can, and existing documents stay readable. Lifetime licenses never lapse.
Does cloud storage move private media too?
No. Only public media goes to S3, BunnyCDN, R2 or Spaces. Private items stay on your server and load through signed links, and the local cleanup skips them.
Do I need FFmpeg or a video server?
No. Neither plugin transcodes video. Pro plays the original file and adds engagement heatmaps. Whisper captions are saved as caption files for apps, but the web player does not show them yet.
Can I limit how much each member stores?
Yes, with the free plugin's optional per-member storage limit in Settings > General. You can override it on a member's profile. Quota packages and credits are no longer part of Pro.
What happens when I trash a document folder?
Everything inside goes to the trash with it, and nobody can open, download or search those files. Restoring the folder brings back exactly what it took. Trashed folders are deleted after 30 days.
