WP CAREER BOARD PRO

Charge for every post, and screen what comes back.

Employers buy credits and post without asking you for an invoice. AI scores each applicant out of 100 with its reasoning, and a Kanban board with stages you name carries them from screening to hired. Every Pro licence includes all of it.

An employer dashboard: three live jobs, six applications, a fifty credit balance in both the sidebar and the tiles, and recent applicants marked shortlisted, reviewing, submitted and hired

Getting paid for a post

The money flow, including the part where something goes wrong

Charging employers to post is easy to demo and hard to run. The demo is a checkout; running it means knowing what happens to someone’s credits when a request dies halfway through.

  1. They top up

Credit packs or a custom amount, paid with Stripe or PayPal right on your site. Already sell through WooCommerce, Paid Memberships Pro or MemberPress? Map a product to a credit amount and use that instead.

  2. Posting holds the credits

Starting a job post holds what it costs rather than spending it. Each board sets its own price, and charging at all is something you switch on.

  3. Publishing spends them

The hold becomes a deduction once the job actually goes through, so nobody pays for a post that never happened.

  4. A crash gets cleaned up

If the post dies mid-flight, the hold is stranded. A daily job finds any hold with no matching deduction or refund after 24 hours and refunds it, so an employer never loses credits to a dropped request.

What that buys you

A balance you can defend to an employer

The ledger only ever appends
Entries are added, never edited away. A refund is its own row, which is what makes the balance auditable rather than merely current.
You see every entry and refund
One admin screen for the whole ledger, and a CSV export when finance wants it in a spreadsheet.
They hear before they hit zero
A low-balance email goes to the employer, and a top-up confirmation follows the payment.
A lapsed licence does not switch it off
The licence gates updates, not features. The permission check is a pass-through, so your board keeps taking money either way.

Paid job credits

Employers top up and post without asking you for an invoice

Employers pick a credit pack or a custom amount and pay through Stripe or PayPal. Each board sets what a job post costs, and the job form shows the balance.

Held first, then deducted
A posting holds its credits and deducts them once it goes through. A daily check reconciles any hold left open.
Sell through what you already run
Prefer WooCommerce, Paid Memberships Pro or MemberPress? Map products and plans to credit amounts instead.
Transactions, refunds, low-balance emails
Admins see every ledger entry and refund from one screen. Employers get an email when their balance runs low.

More Pro tools for employers and candidates

Credits have their own section above. These ship in the same license.

  • AI drafts for jobs and cover letters

Employers draft a job description from a title and key points. Candidates can draft a cover letter for a specific job.

  • AI chat search for jobs

Candidates describe the job they want in plain words and get matching listings back.

  • Recommended jobs for candidates

Matching compares resumes with open jobs and suggests roles a candidate is likely to fit.

  • Resume PDF export

Candidates export a resume as a PDF, and it attaches automatically when they apply.

  • Field Builder with 17 field types

Add fields to jobs, companies, candidates and resumes. Hide a field group on boards where it does not apply.

  • Job and resume maps

Show jobs or candidates on a Leaflet or Google map with a radius filter that follows the job list.

  • Feeds and CSV import

Publish each board as XML, RSS or JSON. Re-importing a CSV updates existing jobs instead of duplicating them.

  • Analytics with CSV export

An analytics tab summarises board activity, and credit transactions export to CSV.

  • Notification bell and app push

A header bell for employers and candidates, plus push notifications for companion apps.

Upgrade questions, answered straight

Do I need the free plugin too?
Yes. Pro extends WP Career Board and needs it installed and active. Both need WordPress 6.9+ and PHP 8.1+. Your jobs, applications and settings stay as they are.
Is AI required, and where does applicant data go?
AI is optional and stays off until you pick a provider. Use Claude or OpenAI with your own API key, or a self-hosted Ollama model to keep applicant data on your own server.
How can employers pay for credits?
Through native Stripe or PayPal checkout in the credit panel. You can also map WooCommerce, WooCommerce Subscriptions, WooCommerce Memberships, Paid Memberships Pro or MemberPress products to credit amounts.
Can different boards charge different amounts?
Yes. Each board sets its own credit cost per job, hiring stages and visible field groups. You can also price by BuddyPress member type, PMPro level or MemberPress membership, and the cheapest applicable price wins.
Can candidates keep resumes private?
Yes. Candidates choose whether each resume is public. The candidate directory can be open to everyone, to signed-in members, or only to employers you approve.
Which license tier do I need?
Pick by site count. Personal covers 1 site, Developer 5 and Agency unlimited. Every tier includes every Pro feature.
What happens if my license lapses?
Pro keeps working with every feature. Updates and support stop until you renew. Lifetime licenses do not lapse.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Every Pro plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
