Starting price. The bill rises as more people vote or comment.
Canny alternative
A feedback board that does not get dearer as more people use it.
Canny Pro starts at $79 a month billed yearly and counts the people who give you feedback. Product Roadmap Pro is one licence on your own WordPress site, and it counts sites.

What the bill is counting
Their price follows your customers. Yours follows your sites.
A feedback tool priced by tracked users gets more expensive precisely when it starts working. Worth knowing exactly which meters are running before you pick one.
Three meters on a hosted board
-
The people who give you feedback
Canny defines a tracked user as anyone associated with feedback, so the meter turns when someone votes or comments. Pro starts at 100 of them and the chooser invites you to scale up as you get more users.
-
The people on your side of it
Managers are capped too: five on the free plan, ten on Pro, a conversation above that. Bringing a second product owner into the tool is a line item.
-
Parts of the portal itself
Private boards, a custom domain, removing the branding, translated content and custom statuses each sit behind a tier rather than a setting.
One meter on a licence
Sites
That is the whole of it. A licence covers one, five or unlimited sites, and nothing on the site counts anybody.
- Voters, commenters and people who suggest: not counted
- Admins and product owners: whatever roles you already have
- Boards, statuses, custom domain, your own branding: yours already
Where Canny is the better buy
Canny reads your support conversations and pulls feedback out of them, syncs an item to Jira, Linear, ClickUp, Asana, GitHub or Azure DevOps, signs people in through Okta or Entra ID, ties feedback to a HubSpot or Salesforce record, and carries SOC 2. This plugin does none of that, and pretending otherwise would waste your trial.
If your feedback arrives through Intercom and has to land in Jira, buy Canny. Their free plan covers 25 tracked users with unlimited boards, which is a real place to start.
The bridge, if you want one
Pro sends a signed webhook when an item changes status, takes a vote, takes a comment or receives a suggestion. Point it at whatever you already run and the same automations become possible, built rather than bought.
THREE YEARS OF VOTES
Three years on Canny Pro's entry price next to one lifetime license.
Canny Pro at its starting price of $79 a month billed yearly, from canny.io/pricing on 2026-09-18. More tracked users cost more. Hosting not counted.
One payment for five sites, any number of voters.
One payment for one site, any number of voters.
At Canny's entry price, one lifetime Pro license costs $2,645 less over three years. The gap widens once you pass 100 tracked users.

LEAVING CANNY
Move your Canny posts in an afternoon, then rebuild the votes on your own site.
Canny exports posts to CSV. Pro imports items from CSV. Vote counts, comments and voter accounts do not transfer, so plan a short relaunch.
- 01
Export from Canny
In Canny, open Settings, Boards and choose Export Data. The CSV holds post title, detail, status and category.
- 02
Rename the header row
Pro reads Title, Description, Status, Category, Priority, Target Date and Product. Rename Post Title and Post Detail to match.
- 03
Install the free plugin and Pro
Activate both on your WordPress site. The setup wizard names your product and sets defaults.
- 04
Import the CSV
Open Roadmap Settings, Import/Export. Pick a default product and status, keep Skip duplicates on, and import.
- 05
Check statuses and categories
Rename or merge statuses so they match what voters saw on Canny.
- 06
Invite voters back
Link the new board from your app and emails. Votes rebuild as people return, and status emails keep them informed.
Release notes that live next to the board
Canny users rely on its changelog to close the loop. Product Roadmap ships one too, on your own pages, in the free plugin.
Each release lists its changes with a type badge and date.

Kanban, Timeline, List, Cards and Idea Box. The Minimal view is free.
-
Status emails to voters
People who voted or commented with an account hear when an item changes status.

Votes, comments, views, popular items and status breakdown, per product.
-
Signed webhooks (Pro)
Send status, vote, comment and suggestion events to any URL, signed with HMAC-SHA256.
-
