Before you move instructors to the front end
Which LearnDash version do I need?
LearnDash 5.0 or later. The plugin will not activate on older versions, because LearnDash 5 removed functions that earlier code relied on.
Do I need Advanced Custom Fields Pro?
No. The front-end forms run on a copy of ACF bundled with the plugin. If ACF or ACF Pro is already active, the plugin uses that copy instead.
Can instructors see each other's courses or students?
No. Instructors see their own courses and students, plus courses another instructor shared with them. Reports and bulk actions are checked against the courses they manage.
Will my existing courses and progress carry over?
Yes. The dashboard reads and writes LearnDash's own courses, groups and progress, so there is nothing to import.
How are instructors paid?
Set the instructor and admin percentages and an optional platform fee. Commissions record from LearnDash and WooCommerce sales. Instructors request a payout by a method you enable (bank transfer, e-check, PayPal or Stripe), and you approve each request.
Can group leaders manage their own students?
Yes. Group leaders add or remove students in their assigned groups and run bulk enrollment for them. They can also generate enrollment codes and see group reports.
Does it work with Uncanny Groups and BuddyPress?
Both are optional. With Uncanny Groups active, the Groups tab shows seat use, group hierarchy and code management. With BuddyPress, avatars, profile navigation and messaging connect to it.
